White Sox take the last 2 games of the 3-game series against Twins (Minneapolis, Minnesota) – The starting pitcher in the last game of the 3-game series for the White Sox was, Lance Lynn.  In the first inning, he threw for a lineout, groundout and flyout.  In the top of the 2nd White Sox batter Leury Garcia ripped a 2-run home run to deep right field that pushed the White Sox into an early lead.  The score was 2-0 White Sox at the end of the 2nd inning.  In the bottom of the 3rd, Twins batter Ben Rortvedt hit a ball right behind White Sox center fielder Tim Anderson, who had a tremendous leaping catch with a spin, for the out.  In the bottom of the 4th Twins batter Trevor Larnach hit a solo homer run to cement the Twins first run on the score board.  At the end of the 4th inning the score was 2-1 White Sox.  In the top of the 5th Anderson hit an 87 mph changeup to left field for an RBI double.  The White Sox maintained their lead at 3-1 in the top of the 5th inning.

Stretching The Lead

In the top of the 6th White Sox batter Leury Garcia struck a ball to deep right center field for an RBI triple.  Up next to bat was White Sox batter Jake Burger, who hit a ball against the wall to get a double and Garcia home for the RBI.  At the end of the 6th inning the score was 5-1 White Sox.  In the top of the 7th White Sox batter Brain Goodwin hit a ball right inside the chalk in left field for an RBI double.  In the bottom of that inning White Sox pitcher Ryan Burr relieved Lynn after 102 pitches.  Burr then threw for a popout, groundout, and flyout.  At the end of the 7th inning the score was 6-1 White Sox.  In the bottom of the 8th, Burr was replaced with White Sox pitcher Codi Heuer, who after 2 singles, was replaced by Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet to close the inning.  In the bottom of the 9th, White Sox pitcher Jose Ruiz was brought in to close out the game with a lineout, strikeout, and a popout.  The White Sox beat the Twins today 6-1, and in the last 2 games of the 3-game series in Minneapolis.
