Twins narrowly beat White Sox after yesterday’s devastating loss (Minneapolis, Minnesota) – The White Sox had plenty of momentum going into tonight’s game after yesterday’s crushing win. The White Sox started with pitcher Dallas Keuchel on the mound. In the bottom of the 1st inning, Twins batter Luis Arraez hit a single RBI after Keuchel walked 3 batters. Next batter up was Miguel Sano, who grounded another RBI for the Twins. The White Sox trailed the Twins 2-0. In the top of the 2nd inning, White Sox batter Luis Robert grounded a ball into a double play. In the top of the 3rd, White Sox batter Adam Engel hit a 2-run homer to center field. Next batter up was Jose Abreu, who launched a homer to left field. By the end of the 3rd inning the White Sox took the lead over the Twins 3-2.
A Short-Lived Lead
In the bottom of the 5th inning, the White Sox caught the Twins in a double play. In the bottom of the 6th, Twins batter Williams Astudillo hit a 2-run homer to left field. The Twins took the lead over the White Sox (4-3) by the end of the 6th inning. In the bottom of the 7th inning, White Sox pitcher Ryan Tepera replaced Keuchel after 102 pitches. In the top of the 8th, White Sox batter Jose Abreu was shut down with a double play by the Twins defense. White Sox pitcher Aaron Bummer took the mound for Tepera in hopes to close the 8th inning with no damage. Aaron pitched for 3 strikeouts that sent the game into the 9th. White Sox batters, Eloy Jimenez, Yoan Moncada, and Andrew Vaughn all grounded out to end the game. The Twins narrowly beat the White Sox 4-3.
