Stolen Vehicle Recovered and Offender Arrested  (Orland Park, IL) – On Friday, July 15, Orland Park tactical officers located a stolen Dodge Charger in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall. Shortly thereafter, officers observed a male suspect, later identified as Devonta Harris, enter the vehicle and attempt to drive away. The stolen vehicle immediately became disabled and Harris fled on foot. Harris then entered Orland Square Mall as officers pursued him on foot through the upper level of the mall.

Orland Fire Protection District was called immediately and arrived on scene to treat Harris for injuries he sustained from his jump. Harris was transported to Silver Cross Hospital.

Upon inspection of the stolen vehicle, officers located a loaded Glock handgun, with an extended magazine, on the driver’s seat of the stolen vehicle.
