Morris Home Invasion
Morris Home Invasion (Morris, IL) — On Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, the Morris Police Department responded to a reported Home Invasion in the 500 block of Thomas Drive. The initial call reported 5 suspects broke into a home, stole a cell phone and battered an elderly male who resided there. The homeowner was transported to Morris Hospital with a non-life threatening head injury. An investigation immediately following resulted in the arrest of two adults (Richard Kelly, 22 years old of Morris and Gavin Bensa, 18 years old of Morris) and two juveniles.
Fifth Morris Home Invasion Suspect Currently Incarcerated, Parole Violator
After further investigation, an arrest warrant for the fifth suspect, Myles L. Jones, 24 years old of Joliet, was issued on Friday, March 11th, for the offense of Home Invasion (Class X Felony). His bond was set at $300,000.00, 10% to apply.
Jones is currently incarcerated at the DuPage County Jail on unrelated charges. He also has a hold for the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation.
