Crestwood Village Board Meeting Lasts Nine Minutes (Crestwood, IL) — The Crestwood Village Board held its fourth meeting of 2022 on Thursday, Feb. 17.  All members with the exception of Linda M. Madlener braved heavy snowfall for the meeting, which lasted nine minutes.

The License and Ordinance Committee approved the following unanimously:

  • Direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance upon the request of Matthew Pohnan, Max Power Automotive, LLC, a special use to permit an auto machine shop that will remove, repair and install engine components with no auto body repairs and with a stipulation that all vehicles must be stored in spots designated in lease agreement or in the building and follow all EPA guidelines in the disposal of oil, antifreeze and hazardous waste on premises of 14008-10 S. Kildare Ave., Crestwood, Illinois 60418.
  • Direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance upon the request of Tom Szafranski representing Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers – Crestwood approving the re-subdivision plat for the property located at 13201 S. Cicero Ave., Crestwood, Illinois 60418.

The License and Ordinance Committee tabled the following unanimously:

  • Direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance upon the request of Jacob H. Sadoff (Rocket Testing) for a special use to permit a rapid and PCR covid testing facility to perform, administer and certify rapid and PCR covid testing and shall work in accordance with DCD and WHO covid protocols and insurance guidelines and that all Bio-waste is disposed of properly and will not interfere with any traffic patterns on the premises of 13200 Rivercrest Dr., Crestwood, Illinois 60418.

The Board unanimously approved the following Building and Plats Committee reports:

  • Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals regular scheduled meeting minutes of February 14, 2022.
  • Building report for the month of January, 2022.

The Board unanimously approved the following Finance Committee reports:

  • General fund, General Fund NOW Voucher listing, dated 2/3/22, Payroll Warrant, dated 2/4/22, and General Fund, General Fund NOW and Water & Sewer Fund Voucher listing, dated 2/10/22, Rt. 83 TIF Fund, Water Capital Improvement Fund, Debt Service Fund, General Fund, General Fund NOW, IEPA Fund, Motor Fuel Tax Fund and Water & Sewer Fund, Voucher listing, dated 2/17/22.

The Board unanimously approved the following Police Department Committee reports:

  • Crestwood Police Department Activity Report for January, 2022 as submitted by Police Chief Dave Weigand.
  • Crestwood Police Department Citation Activity Report – Citations Issued/Fines Collected – December 2021 as submitted by Chief Dave Weigand.

The Board unanimously approved the following Health and Safety Committee report:

  • Scavenger Report for the month of February, 2022 for services performed in the month of January, 2022.

The Board unanimously approved the following Streets, Lights and Drainage Committee report:

  • Streets, Lights and Drainage Bi-Monthly report dated February 17, 2022.

The Board unanimously approved the following Water and Sewer Committee reports:

  • Water and Sewer Bi-Monthly report dated February 17, 2022.
  • Waterworks & Sewerage Fund report for the month of January, 2022.
