The Party Ave in Crestwood Partied Too Hard (Crestwood, IL) The Crestwood Village Board held its second meeting of 2022 on Thursday, January 20th. The Village of Crestwood approved a motion to consider the revocation of a business license issued to The Party Ave, a party venue located at 13121 Rivercrest Dr.

The Party Ave had been the subject of complaints by neighboring businesses. Among these complaints were consumption of alcohol without a license, dismantling the sprinkler system and parties with excessive noise. At a previous hearing, the business owner admitted to everything. The business is currently in arrears with the Village for fines.

Trustee Theresa Flynn, who describes herself as a believer in second chances, was the sole opposition. Flynn stated: “I do believe because we issued her a venue license rather than a party supply, she should have been given an opportunity to rectify.” Mayor Ken Klein declined to comment on the revocation.

Economic Development

New businesses are coming to Crestwood. Raising Cane’s will begin construction this spring at Route 83 and Cicero Avenue. A large gas station is also in the works for the intersection of Cicero and the Midlothian Turnpike, which will include a restaurant and retail stores.
