Bulls go on to win their 3rd straight game (Chicago, IL) — Bulls go on to win their 3rd straight game (Chicago, Illinois) — After a crushing victory against the Pelicans last night, the Bulls were rested and ready to face the Pistons. In the first quarter, the Bulls kept most of their shots very diverse with 3 shots made behind the arc, and many in and outside of the paint. They walked away from the 1st quarter leading 31-28. In the 2nd quarter, they were not having as much success with their 3-point shots with Lonzo Ball, Patrick Williams, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic all missing their 3-point opportunities.  The Bulls did however up their defense and only allowed the Pistons to get 15 points while the Bulls secured 23. Going into halftime, the Bulls carried fair lead over the Pistons with the score at 54-43 Bulls.

At the Half

In the 3rd quarter, Zach LaVine redeemed himself with making 2 shots outside the arc along with Lonzo Ball and Patrick Williams both making in a 3-pointer.  Along with DeMar DeRozan driving in a dunk and Nikola Vucevic tipping a ball in at the rim the Bulls had aggressive players on the inside while the sharp shooters were focused on hitting their 3’s.  The Bulls played spectacular defense this quarter as well with only allowing the Pistons to get 11 points bringing the score to 79-54 Bulls by the end of the 3rd quarter.  In the 4th quarter the Bulls switch it up by shooting farther out of the paint with only making one shot inside but making 3 3-pointers and 3 pullup shots right outside the key.  The Pistons having an uphill battle fought valiantly but only got 28 points and came up short with the Bulls winning their 3rd straight game.  The Bulls beat the Pistons 97-82.

Game Leaders

Game Leaders were DeMar DeRozan with 21 points along with handing out 10 assists.  On the Defensive side the Nikola Vucevic was also a very heavy participant with 19 rebounds.  Alex Caruso was an extremely aggressive player tonight with getting 5 steals while Lonzo Ball got 4 blocks.  The Bulls made 41.7% of their collective shots along with making 42.3% of every 3-point shot.
