Cook County Republican Party Unanimously Re-Elects Sean Morrison as its County Chairman (Cook County, IL) — Cook County Republican Party’s Central Committee held its County Convention on Wednesday night (7/27) at Moretti’s Edison Park in Chicago where they were charged to elect its County Chairman for the next two years along with state party leadership positions. Chairman Sean Morrison was enthusiastically re-elected by acclamation to a third term as Chairman of the Cook County Republican Party.

“Collaborative leadership is what’s needed for a vibrant and successful Republican Party. I want to thank all of my fellow committeepersons for their overwhelming support. As Cook County Republican Party Chairman, I made it my goal to develop a more cohesive leadership unit across our county. Though there is still more work to be done, I do believe we’ve grown into a much more unified and productive body over the past six years,” stated Sean Morrison.

As an example, this past week (July 25) the Cook County GOP in concert with the Chicago GOP slated over 30 Republican candidates for county offices, state representative and state senate. The party recruited candidates and collected over 8,000 signatures in just a 16-day period. This unprecedented initiative would not have been imagined, let alone achievable, prior to 2016.

“I believe I’ve brought the right kind of collaborative leadership to the Cook County Republican Party and it has served our party well. I am fully committed to continuing this positive and productive approach over the next two years as our county’s Republican Chairman,” concluded Morrison.
