Thornton Township Official Statement on the Passing of Frank Zuccarelli (Thornton Township, IL) – All of us at Thornton Township are greatly saddened and deeply grieved at the sudden, unexpected passing of Township Supervisor, Frank M. Zuccarelli. Frank Zuccarelli left an indelible mark on public service in our community – not only through his dedication to utilizing his office to help people, but also through his devotion to creating and sustaining equal opportunity in the South Suburbs through education, in his role as Chairman of the South Suburban College Board.

All who knew Frank, knew he was tough. But they also knew his ‘toughness’, was rooted in his determination and single-mindedness to improve the quality of life for every family in our community – his community. Frank Zuccarelli touched the lives of scores of people setting a positive example for public service and politics. He will be truly missed. The township will provide more information as it becomes available.
