Rep. Haas Presents July Local Business Spotlight to Route 17 Complete Auto Repair (Kankakee, IL) — For July 2023’s Local Business Spotlight, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) honored Route 17 Complete Auto Repair in Kankakee. She presented a certificate of recognition to owners Nick and Susan Angelatos on Monday at their business.
“Route 17 Complete Auto Repair is just a mile down the road from my district office in downtown Kankakee and a great staple for our community in maintaining our neighbors’ vehicles,” said Rep. Haas. “With a phenomenal work ethic and philosophy to provide the best service to their customers, this is a great institution that treats customers like family and shows the friendliness of the 79th District. The Angelatos’ story truly attests to what they believe and have built in our district: ‘Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.’”
Nick and Susan Angelatos moved from Chicago early in their marriage. Moving south, they moved to Clifton and then decided to look for a place to live in Kankakee. When they moved to Kankakee, they met friendly, down-to-earth people and loved it. They then took over the auto shop, leasing it for six months before buying it. On July 5th of this year, they celebrated their 32nd anniversary of owning Route 17 Complete Auto Repair and diagnosing car repairs by treating every car in the shop like it’s their own.
Route 17 Complete Auto Repair is located at 1710 E. Court Street in Kankakee. They are open on Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM and closed on weekends.
