Rep. Haas Celebrates OSLAD Grants in District 79 (Kankakee, IL) — Following the announcement of the 2024 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant recipients, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) released the following statement:

“I am thrilled to hear that the Illinois Department of Natural Resources has awarded three OSLAD grants in District 79,” said Rep. Haas. “These grants total over $1.5 million dollars of funding for our community.”

OSLAD was established by the Illinois General Assembly in 1986. This program assists communities across the state with funding for land acquisition, park development, and outdoor recreation projects.

District 79 was awarded $600,000 to the Village of Bradley, $600,000 to Kankakee Valley Park District, and $500,000 to Limestone Park District.

Rep. Haas concluded, “Our communities deserve this investment to grow, repair, and build our natural land and parks for all ages to enjoy. I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for their continued dedication to invest in communities across the state of Illinois.”
