Illinois Gubernatorial Candidate Jesse Sullivan Kicks Off Campaign with Large Statewide Ad Buy (Petersburg, IL) – Political outsider and Republican candidate for governor of Illinois Jesse Sullivan released his first television campaign ad this morning. The ad will air statewide and is part of a six-figure buy, the latest piece of a comprehensive television, digital, and radio plan to get Sully’s message out and begin a conversation with Illinois voters about what’s at stake in this race to replace JB Pritzker, who has already spent millions on the air.
Sullivan said, “JB Pritzker believes that he can spend his way past four years of harmful policies that have cost people jobs, sent businesses fleeing, and allowed crime to flourish. The #ILStrong movement is about empowering the people of this state, who make us strong in spite of political mismanagement.
We Illinoisans are sick of a governor who has raised taxes rather than addressed mismanagement of public funds, who has broken his promise to end partisan gerrymandering, and who has ignored the epidemic of violence plaguing our cities. We are going to introduce business-friendly policies to jump-start our lagging economy. We are going to root out corruption from our executive agencies and our legislature. And we are going to empower our law enforcement to do their work and reduce crime in our streets. We welcome all who feel abandoned and left behind by weak political leadership to Team Sully.”
Sullivan has made combatting high taxes, corruption, and crime the focus of his campaign.
