Orientation and assessment testing for the fall will take place between August 9 and August 11, 2022 with a start date of Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Those who apply are also required to provide a valid driver’s license.

A goal of the SSC HCCTP is to increase the number of minorities, women and veterans working in Illinois highway construction. The HCCTP is funded through a partnership with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), thus allowing the tuition to be waived. While enrolled, students will be paid a stipend of $10 per hour for each full hour of training completed.
