Dolton Park District to File Lawsuit Against the Mayor of Dolton, Sends Strong Message Against Bullying (Dolton, IL) — The Dolton Park District Board of Commissioners will hold a press conference on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, to discuss the mistreatment of a local patron who was denied the ability to host his popular car show by Mayor Tiffany Henyard as well as filing a lawsuit to stop the harassment.

Dolton Park District is an independent organization separate from the Village of Dolton, IL. The park district owns and manages eleven parks, including John W. Needles Park located at 142nd & Woodlawn Ave. in Dolton, IL. It is important to note that Dolton Park District has sole authority to rent out its parks to individuals or groups interested in hosting events and programs. No permit from the Village of Dolton is required.

On Saturday, August 12, 2023, a patron named Darin E. Bosley scheduled an event at John W. Needles Park, only to find tall cement barricades placed by Mayor Henyard and her Police Department blocking the park entrance. Mr. Bosley has successfully organized this event at Dolton Park for the past six years without any issues. However, he was recently contacted by Keith Freeman, the Administrator at the Village of Dolton, on behalf of Mayor Henyard and Thornton Township Supervisor, informing him that Dolton Park District did not obtain a permit from the village, and as a result, their event would be shut down. Additionally, Mr. Bosley was offered an alternative location on Greenwood Rd., where the mayor herself is hosting an event during the same time. It is reasonable to assume that the mayor is pressuring Mr. Bosley to move his event to Greenwood Rd. in order to boost attendance at her own event. It is worth mentioning that Mayor Henyard has a history of engaging in questionable behavior.

  1. Ridiculous corruption. I live in North Carolina and it is truly baffling to consider the extent of the corruption that exists within our society and in you home town. One cannot help but question the role of the DOJ and FBI in all of this. After all, it is their responsibility to investigate and address such blatant corruption. How is it possible that they have not taken action? These are the questions that plague the minds of many concerned citizens. The FBI, as an institution, holds a significant amount of power and influence. They are entrusted with the task of upholding the law and ensuring justice is served. It is their duty to investigate any allegations of corruption and hold those responsible accountable for their actions. However, it seems that in some cases, they have failed to fulfill this duty. I am a 61 year old true American that has never and rarely questioned the integrity of the FBI or DOJ. Not sure what is going on, but you’re scaring the general population and those of us that thought both were created to protect the general public and unquestionably attack it. This raises serious concerns about the effectiveness and integrity of the FBI and DOJ. Are they truly committed to fighting corruption, or are there other factors at play? It is important for us, as citizens, to demand transparency and accountability from our law enforcement agencies. We must hold them to the highest standards and ensure that they are fulfilling their responsibilities. Corruption is a cancer that eats away at the fabric of our society, and it is the responsibility of the FBI to root it out. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to such blatant wrongdoing. The FBI and DOJ must be held to account for their inaction and must take immediate steps to address the corruption that plagues our nation. Only then can we begin to restore faith in our justice system and ensure a brighter future for our children. Where we all should be focusing our attention. I am neither Republican or Democrat politically, but these are scary times for our next generation. I might have 10-20 years left in this brief test of my faith. I know what comes next, but we should be concerned what we leave behind. I pray for all of us they start focusing on and protecting the voting population.
