Country Club Hills District 160 Students Inspired By School Yard Rap Performance (Country Club Hills, IL) — On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, students at both Meadowview Intermediate School and Southwood Middle School enjoyed a performance by School Yard Rap that emphasized the importance of their history and culture.  The group made the assembly fun and educational while engaging them in an exciting way. Country Club Hills School District 160 operates under the theme of, “Every Child. Every Chance. Every Day.”

Meadowview Principal Mr. Philip Bazile stated about the event, “I think this was a special way of humanizing the adults to our students by allowing staff and admin to humble themselves by dancing and performing in front of them. We enjoyed the learning that took place and appreciate the enthusiasm that School Yard Rap brought to the students. We look forward to their return next year.” Ms. Gamila Williams is the principal of Southwood.  Dr. Duane Meighan is the Superintendent of Country Club Hills Schools District 160.

School Yard Rap’s mission is to improve the educational experiences of learners of all ages by providing curriculum, content, music, and professional development that uplifts.The group builds awareness, knowledge, and competencies for excellence equity in schools. School Yard Rap is a black owned company established in 2015.
