Losers of Four Straight (Chicago, Illinois). Chicago Bears were looking to avoid a four game skid Monday night as the Minnesota Vikings led by Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook came to town. Cook the fourth year back from Florida State signed a massive contract extension with the Vikings in September, entered the game leading the league in scrimmage yards. However, the Vikings started the night in last place in the division, but have won their last two, and hoped to make up ground in the NFC North.

Cousins connected with wide receiver Adam Thielen on a seventeen yard one handed touchdown in the first quarter to take the early lead. Chicago responded with a seventy yard drive resulting in a twenty-three yard field goal make from kicker Cairo Santos. The first half ended 7-6 as Santos converted another field goal with a minute left in the half.

The Bears received the kickoff in the second half and receiver Cordarrelle Patterson returned the kick for a one hundred-four yard touchdown. Definitely the highlight of the night for Chicago fans, as this would be the only touchdown and last score of the evening for the home team.

Chicago struggles continued with more suspicious play calling from Matt Nagy and his staff, and the offense failed to move the football. Quarterback Nick Foles threw for a hundred-six yards and an interception, while Patterson was the bears leading rusher with twelve carries for thirty yards.

The bye for Chicago couldn’t come at better time as they’ll have the week off before facing Green Bay on November 29th. The Bears drop to 5-5 on the season. Meanwhile Kirk Cousins gets his first win on Monday Night Football, and the Vikings improve to 4-5. They host the depleted Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
