Water Main Break in Dixmoor Leads to Village-Wide Water Pressure Issues (Dixmoor, IL) — The Village of Dixmoor, which has been plagued with a multitude of water main breaks in the last year, released a statement regarding the latest water main break. This break has led to village-wide water pressure issues. Their statement follows:
“The main water line feeding all of the water mains in Dixmoor has broken leading to low pressure throughout the community, according to Dixmoor Mayor Fitzgerald Roberts.
“The breaks occurred at the main water line located on Spaulding Avenue. The break has been isolated but because it is the main water line, Dixmoor’s water reservoir has been drained, leaving most of the community with low water pressure. Repairs are underway. There is no boil water order currently in Dixmoor.
“’This line is scheduled for replacement soon,’ Roberts said. ‘But for right now, we are working on getting it repaired so that we can refill our water reservoir and get the pressure back up in Dixmoor.'”
