“This program is beneficial to those who have early childhood care experience who wish to acquire additional skills or want to obtain a college education,” said Joyce.
I am a lifetime member of Future Farmers of America, and I was proud to work this year with the Illinois Secretary of State to issue special license plates to help support FFA programming.
Two of the most vital projects coming to the 40th District in 2023 include the rehabilitation of pavements, including design overlay and ADA improvements in Kankakee County along route IL 115 North of Gar Creek to South Washington Avenue in Kankakee and preservation of pavements along Route IL 1 on Strieff Lane to 34th Street in South Chicago Heights.
“Every town should have a central area to safely gather that is unique to their community,” said Joyce (D- Essex). “The areas granted this funding will be able to enhance buildings and landscape while also creating safer conditions.”
“For our students to be successful in school, it is important they are provided with new supplies each year,” said Joyce. “I urge all Illinois families and educators to make use of this tax break in order to contribute to our students’ success.”
We have been smart about using our federal pandemic relief dollars to hold the line on spending and create the opportunity to help families during these tough times. We have more work to do, but this is real relief and I know families in the 40th Senate district can use it.
The event is free to all residents, though each car is limited to three boxes of documents. It will last until 1 p.m. or until all shred trucks are full.
