“Art, in general, has a role in people's lives in which it can provide healing,” Christopher Art Gallery Director Beth Shadur said. “It’s particularly poignant that this work comes from these experiences of war that are very difficult to articulate. You can articulate it verbally, but if you have another outlet, it can be very cathartic and a good outlet for someone to express themselves.
