Obama, Breitbart, A Chicago Theatre Company & Saul Alinsky Oh my! All on stage! Third Show Added (Chicago, IL) – Oct 23, 2024 – Solo Sunday announces two performances of I KILLED ANDY BREITBART, a solo show written and performed by Pam Dickler and directed by Drew Martin on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Mrs. Murphy & Sons, 3905 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL.

The solo show centers on the true story of how Andrew Breitbart’s final blog about a Chicago theater company’s post-play panel discussion led his followers to believe they could prevent the re-election of President Barack Obama.

In 2012, Andrew Breitbart wrote about a long-previous appearance by then-State Senator Barack Obama serving on a post-play panel for Chicago’s Terrapin Theatre, following their production of The Love Song of Saul Alinsky. It would be Breitbart’s final blog entry prior to his untimely death at age 43. A tornado of conspiracy theories, spin, and vitriol from his Alt-Right followers ensued, putting Pam Dickler, the show’s producer/director, into a very unusual and scary spotlight as they tried to take down the President.Join us for this special, intimate performance at a pop-up theater in one of the city’s legendary Irish pubs. Performances are November 3rd at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will take place in the upstairs space at Mrs. Murphy & Sons, 3905 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60613.
