Grasso Gaining Endorsements of Top Republicans in 6th District Race (Burr Ridge, IL) — Burr Ridge Mayor and Candidate for the 6th Congressional District, Gary Grasso, has added more top republicans to his growing list of endorsements in his quest to be the Republican nominee in the June primary.

Grasso recently added the endorsements of Patti Bellock, former State Representative, Tom Cross, former House Republican Leader, Roger Claar, Republican IL State Central Committee member and former Mayor of Bolingbrook, and Bob Schillerstrom, former DuPage County Board Chairman. “I continue to gain the support of key Republicans in the state and district,” stated Grasso. “I sense our campaign is gaining momentum and I feel extremely good about our chances of success in June.”

Grasso Has Experience with DuPage and Cook Counties

The new 6th Congressional District is comprised of municipalities in Southwestern Cook and
Southeastern DuPage Counties. Burr Ridge sits almost equally between DuPage and Cook Counties in the District. Grasso’s experience and strong relationships in both counties has many suggesting he is the perfect candidate to represent the citizens of the new IL 6th.

Former Bolingbrook Mayor and Republican IL State Central Committee member Roger Claar supports Grasso for that very reason. “To be the Republican nominee in November, we need someone who can win voter support in both counties and Gary is the only candidate with the ability to do that,” explained Claar. “We have to win in November and Gary’s centrist views will provide him the support of independents and disgruntled Democrats to win the seat.”

Patti Bellock, former State Representative, endorsed Grasso for his ability to bring individuals together not divide them. “Voters are looking for unity, not divisive and confrontational behavior. We are also looking for leaders who embrace traditional Republican values and Gary represents all of that.”
