Bulls Win their 4th Straight Game Against Hawks (Atlanta, Georgia) — Coming off of a 3 – game win streak, the Bulls traveled to Atlanta to face the Hawks. The Bulls started the game at a nice, even pace but did struggle around the court in the 1st quarter, making 2 out of 6 shots in the paint. The Bulls were able to make up for their short game with their long game, with a Nikola Vucevic tossing DeMar DeRozan a quick pass to the outside for the 3-pointer. The Bulls made 6 out of 10 shots from outside the arc. In the 1st quarter, the Hawks found themselves in an early lead, making 36 points while the Bulls made 31.

In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls turned up the heat in the paint and were extremely efficient in finding holes in the Hawks defense to make it to the rim. Zach LaVine was able to make a great buzzer-beater from right inside the arc to close the 2nd quarter. The Bulls pulled ahead to lead the game, scoring 38 points while holding the Hawks to 27 points. By halftime, the score was 69 – 63 Bulls.

At the Half

In the 3rd quarter, the Bulls again showed complete dominance in the rim, squeezing their way through defenders. The Bulls were able to shoot off 11 three-pointers and make 5 of them. The Bulls had tricks with Zach LaVine’s jogging backwards, no look, bounce pass to Nikola Vucevic to go to the rim for the slam dunk. The Bulls were able to score 29 points while holding the Hawks to 24 points.

Going into the final quarter, the Bulls continued their lead with the score at 98 – 87.  The Bulls scored 4 outs 5 shots at the rim and 4 out of 8 shots outside the arc. A memorable play in the 4th quarter was a great half court assist by DeMar DeRozan right at the rim for Lonzo Ball to dunk the ball. The Bulls were able to hold off the Hawks by scoring 32 points while the Hawks scored 31. The Bulls beat the Hawks 130 – 118.

Game Leaders

Game Leaders were Zach LaVine with 35 points along with handing out 10 assists. On the defensive side, Nikola Vucevic was able to snag 17 rebounds. Coby White also was able to get 2 steals, while Nikola Vucevic was also able to get 4 blocks. The Bulls made 54.8% of their collective shots and 48.6% of every 3-point shot.
