Bulls Win in an Up-and-Down Game Against Nets (Chicago, Illinois) – The Nets met the Bulls at the United Center today and the game started fast in the 1st quarter. In the first 30 seconds of the game Lonzo Ball launched the ball down the court to Zach LaVine for a big slam dunk. The Bulls made 3 out of 9 shots outside the arc, but at the rim was where most of their points were made. The Bulls were able to hold the Nets to 27 points at the end of the quarter while the Bulls had 35. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls attempted to shoot from a greater distance but struggled to make a shot. The Bulls took and missed 8 shots from outside the arc and 5 shots from just inside the arc. The Bulls struggled to gain traction in that quarter, scoring only 16 points while the Nets took the lead by scoring 30 points. The Bulls trailed the Nets 57-51 by the end of the 1st half.

In the 3rd quarter, the Bulls were able to gain some traction quickly with Javonte Green making a fast pass to an unguarded Lonzo Ball, who hit a long 3-pointer. The Bulls tried to take advantage of that momentum, but were proven wrong after missing 5 shots over the arc. However, they were able to make up for it at and around the rim. The Bulls held back the Nets on defense and managed to turn the game into a 1-shot game.The Bulls were closely following the Nets with the score at 78-76 going into the final quarter. In the 3rd quarter, the Bulls made 5 out of 6 three-pointers with DeRozan, Ball, Caruso, Vucevic, and Dosunmu all making their shot outside the arc. The Nets scored one 3-pointer and struggled with shots all around the rim. The Bulls took over the Nets on defense and offense, with the Nets scoring only 17 points to the Bulls’ 42 points in the 4th quarter. The Bulls beat the Nets 118-95.
Game Leaders
Game Leaders were DeMar DeRozan with 28 points along with Nikola Vucevic, who handed out 5 assists. Nikola Vucevic also was very involved in the defense and was able to snag 13 rebounds. Javonte Green was an aggressive player tonight, grabbing 3 steals, while Nikola Vucevic was able to get 3 blocks. The Bulls made 46.9% of their collective shots along with making 29.0% of every 3-point shot.
