Bulls leave Miami with tail between their legs after narrow loss (Miami, Florida) – The Bulls were ready to face the Heat after a spectacular win against the Magic. However, the Bulls struggled to find their rhythm in the 1st quarter, making 2 out of 9 shots taken outside the arc and only making 2 shots at the rim. The Bulls struggled to gain traction with only scoring 20 points compared to the Heat, who took an early lead by scoring 27 points. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls managed to find some traction on the court in their long and short games. The Bulls shot off 8 shots outside the arc and made 3, and were very consistent at the rim. At one time, Alex Caruso drove to the rim and launched himself over Kyle Lowry for the slam dunk. The Bulls brought the game back, scoring 26 points while the Heat scored 22. The Bulls were trailing the Heat 49 – 46 at halftime.

At the Half

The Bulls took the lead in the 3rd with their short game being consistent, only missing 2 out of 7 shots in the paint and making 3 out of 10 shots outside the arc. DeMar DeRozan was able to show his patience by making his way up the court and hitting a great fade-away shot from the corner of the paint for the 2. The Bulls made 28 points and were able to hold the Heat back, only allowing them to score 23 points. Going into the final quarter, the Bulls took a slight lead with the score at 74 – 72. In the final quarter, the Bulls shot off 13 three-pointers and only secured 3. The Bulls were very consistent at the rim and didn’t miss a single shot taken at the rim in the 4th. The Bulls played valiantly but the Heat were able to cover the spread by making 7 shots outside the arc. The Heat just narrowly beat the Bulls 107 – 104.

Game Leaders

Game Leaders were DeMar DeRozan with 18 points along with Lonzo Ball, who handed out 6 assists. On the defensive side, Nikola Vucevic was able to snag 5 rebounds along with 2 blocks and 2 steals.  The Bulls made 46.9% of their collective shots along with making 28.2% of every 3-point shot.
