Bulls Give Chicago Fans a Great Performance (Chicago, IL) — After a week of rest and a great victory against the Lakers, the Bulls were ready to face the Rockets headfirst. In the 1st quarter, the Bulls were sniping the rim, hitting 5 out of their 9 three-point shots. The Bulls were also very successful at the rim with Nikola Vucevic winning the tip off and getting it right to Javonte Green who took the ball to the rim for the early dunk. The Bulls took an early lead with scoring 35 points while the Rockets scored 26. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls kept up their momentum with making 4 of 7 shots outside the arc. The Bulls were again very aggressive at the rim with Lonzo Ball launching the ball across the court to DeMar DeRozan for the open dunk. The Bulls extended their lead with scoring 38 points while the Rockets scored 28 points. The Rockets trailed the Bulls 73 – 54.

At the Half

In the 3rd quarter the Bulls struggled with their long shot, only making 3 out of their 11 shots outside the arc. The Bulls were able to dominate the rim with Lonzo Ball tossing up the ball for Alfonzo McKinnie for the slam dunk. The Bulls were able to secure 32 points while the Rockets scored 29 points. In the 4th quarter the Bulls scored 4 out of 7 shots outside the arc and were aggressive at the rim. The Bulls scored 28 points while the Rockets were unable to cover the spread, scoring 35 points. The Bulls beat the Rockets 133 – 118.

Game Leaders

Game Leaders were DeMar DeRozan with 26 points along with Lonzo Ball, who handed out 8 assists and 5 steals. On the defensive side, Nikola Vucevic was able to snag 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Lonzo Ball also was able to get 5 steals throughout the game. The Bulls made 55.8% of their collective shots and 45.7% of every 3-point shot.
