Bulls dominate Magic at Amway Center (Orlando, Florida) – The Bulls traveled to Orlando today to face the Magic at the Amway Center. The Magic were able to keep the 1st quarter competitive by keeping up the pace and scoring 27 points on the Bulls. The Bulls were able to score 5 out of 11 shots outside the arc to remind the Magic they’re still in the game.  The Bulls scored 27 points to tie up the Magic at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter the Bulls managed to pull away with Javonte Green making a steal for the break away and quick toss to Zach LaVine, only for him to toss it back at the rim for Green to make the slam dunk. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls were able to be fairly consistent at the rim along with making 2 out of six 3-pointers. By the end of the 2nd quarter, the Bulls turned up the heat with scoring 28 points while the Magic scored 19. By the half the Magic trailed the Bulls 55 – 46.

At the Half

The Bulls had another great quarter in the 3rd by being consistent in the paint as well as in their 3-point game. The Bulls had an impressive long game, making 6 out of 11 shots outside the arc. In the 3rd quarter, Derrick Jones Jr. caught his defender off guard and managed to slip past him, turn, catch a pass, and slam dunk the ball completely untouched. The Bulls had another great quarter in the 3rd, scoring 35 points while they held the Magic to just 23. Going into the final quarter the Bulls extended their lead over the Magic to 90 – 69. In the 4th and final quarter, the Bulls did not slow down their pace with DeMar DeRozan finding the best route straight to the rim and making the hook shot layup over his defender for the 2. The Bulls scored 4 out of their six 3-point shots in the 4th. The Bulls were able to score 33 points and the Magic were unable to cover the spread, scoring only 19 points.  The Bulls beat the Magic 123 – 88.

Game Leaders

Game Leaders were DeMar DeRozan with 23 points along with Lonzo Ball, who handed out 6 assists. On the defensive side, Javonte Green was able to snag 8 rebounds. Lonzo Ball also was able to get 5 steals, while Nikola Vucevic was able to get 1 block. The Bulls made 55.8% of their collective shots and 50.0% of every 3-point shot.
