Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested in Orland Park (Orland Park, IL) — On February 19, 2023, at approximately 5:42 p.m., Orland Park Police Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station, located on the northwest corner of 143rd Street and LaGrange Road. An employee dialed 911 to inform police of a male suspect who entered the business and displayed a handgun as he demanded money from inside the cash register. The suspect fled the area prior to the officers’ arrival.

Orland Park Police Investigators were able to identify the suspect’s vehicle which was registered to a Nathan Phillips. Investigators identified Phillips as the suspect who committed the armed robbery.

On February 20, 2023, investigators were able to locate Phillips in the area of 102nd Street and Torrence Avenue in Chicago where he was placed under arrest. Investigators charged Phillips with one (1) count of Armed Robbery (Class X Felony).

On February 22, 2023, Phillips was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse when the Honorable Judge Jones held Phillips without bond.
