Cook County Republican Party Releases 30-second Ad (Chicago, IL) — A new video from the Cook County Republican Party highlights the results of Cook County Democrat’s failed leadership on criminal justice policies. According to Cook County Republican Chairman, Sean Morrison, “The residents of Cook County were dupped. They did not vote for ineffective, soft-on-crime, policies. These power bosses have betrayed the public’s trust.”
Morrison added, “There are reasons why people derisively refer to our home as ‘Crook’ County. Instead of prioritizing public service and what is in the best interest of their constituents — Democrat leaders like J.B. Pritzker, Toni Preckwinkle, Kim Foxx, and Lori Lightfoot are governing like mob bosses, prioritizing self-interests and political insiders over public safety and Cook County residents. The mounting federal indictments of Democrat public officials is proof of this.”
Under Democrat reign — crime has increased by 40-percent in one year while car jackings have skyrocketed 600-percent.
“Democrats are running our county and city into the ground. We need leaders not more failed politicians. The only way we are going to stop the surge in crime and deterioration of our county is to vote against the politicians who have enacted the failed policies making this nightmare our reality. It is time to hold Cook County’s Democrat politicians accountable for their failed policy,” Morrison said.
Morrison continued, “The extreme far-left ideology that now controls the Democrat Party, and their policies, have failed everywhere they have been attempted. Now, these policies are leading to the demise of the City of Chicago and communities across Cook County. Most importantly, these failed policies have compromised the safety of the residents of Chicago and suburban Cook County.”
Morrison said voters have an opportunity to send a message to Cook County’s Democrat Party bosses by supporting Republican candidates.

This ad wins cherry-picking championship of the year. It picks the crime up the most and the only recent year to show an increase in what it calls “crime” but doesn’t define what it includes. Total FBI Index Crimes in the Chicago and Cook outside the city have declined since 2017 and had a huge drop in Lori’s first year in office. Crime declined more in Chicago than in Keith Pekau’s Orland Park over 2017-2021 period of Keith’s reign.
