White Sox take last game of series in Cleveland (Cleveland Ohio) – After yesterday’s tough loss, the White Sox started off strong in the final game of the series in Cleveland.  In the top of the 1st inning White Sox batter Yasmani Grandal singled on a line drive to center field for an RBI.  In the bottom of the 1st White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito took the mound to throw out for the White Sox.  In the top of the 3rd White Sox batter Eloy Jimenez hit a single in a line drive to left field for a 2-run single.  By the end of the 3rd inning the Indians trailed the White Sox 3-0.  In the top of the 4th inning White Sox batter Jose Abreu grounded into a double play to advance the game.  In the bottom of the 5th inning Indians batter Myles Straw reached on a fielding error by White Sox second baseman Leury Garcia.  No damage was delt in the 5th inning by either team.   

White Sox Force Early Lead  

In the top of the 6th Garcia singled to center field for an RBI that brought the score to 4-0 White Sox.  In the top of the 7th White Sox batter Eloy Jimenez grounded into a double play to move the game.  In the bottom of the 7th inning White Sox batter Michael Kopech took the mound to relive Giolito.  Soon after Myles Straw hit an RBI single and Kopech was taken out and replaced with Garrett Crochet to get a double play to close the inning.  The White Sox lead the Indians 4-1 by the end of the 7th.  In the top of the 8th inning White Sox batter Tim Anderson stole 2nd base and Billy Hamilton stole Homeplate simultaneously that brought the score to 5-1 White Sox.  In the bottom of the 8th White Sox batter Harold Ramirez homered to right field.  By the end of the 8th inning the score was 5-2 White Sox.  In the bottom of the 9th inning White Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks replaced Craig Kimbrel at the mound to close the game with 2 groundouts and a strikeout.
