White Sox take final game of series against Rangers (Dallas, Texas) – After yesterday’s tough loss, the White Sox were determined to take the series. In the top of the 1st inning, the White Sox offense was caught in a double play to advance the game.  In the bottom of the 1st, White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito took the mound to throw out for the Sox. The 2nd and 3rd innings consisted of many pop outs, groundouts, walks and strikeouts with good defense displayed by both teams.  In the top of the 4th inning, White Sox batter Yasmani Grandal crushed a ball to right center field for a solo homer for the first run of the game. Soon after, White Sox batter Cesar Hernandez hit a 2 run RBI to extend the lead. 3 batters later, Jose Abreu took the plate to hit a fly ball to right field for a 2 run RBI.  By the end of the 4th inning, the White Sox took a heavy lead with the score at 5-0 White Sox.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Rangers batter Isiah Kiner Falefa hit an RBI single to put a run on the scoreboard. By the end of the 5th inning, the Rangers trailed the White Sox 5-1.  In the bottom of the 6th inning, White Sox pitcher Aaron Bummer relieved Giolito at the mound. In the top of the 7th, White Sox batter Leury Garcia grounded a ball to left field for an RBI double. In the bottom of that inning, White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech took the mound for Bummer. He was soon replaced in the bottom of the 8th for White Sox pitcher Mike Wright. Ranger’s batter Adolis Garcia hit a sacrifice fly to center field for the out, but brought in a run as well. By the end of the 8th innin,g the White Sox led the Rangers 7-2.  Mike Wright remained as pitcher to close the game with a strikeout and 2 groundouts. The White Sox beat the Rangers 7-2.
