Ventura Picks Up Her Fourth Endorsement from a Pro-Choice Organization (Joliet, IL) — Democrat Rachel Ventura received her 4th endorsement from a group that supports reproductive rights and screens candidates on their position on choice. In addition to earning the VoteProChoice endorsement, Ventura has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Illinois, Illinois NOW, and PersonalPAC. The campaign was also endorsed by the Indo-American Democratic Organization (IADO) that has been in existence since 1980.

A pending Supreme Court Ruling to overturn Roe V. Wade and another tragic school shooting that left 14 children dead in Uvalde Texas have changed the political landscape in the race for State Senate in Illinois’ 43rd District. “Every other Democratic voter we have been talking to this past week wants to know where I stand on gun control and protecting Roe V. Wade,” said Rachel Ventura. “Protecting women’s reproductive health and keeping our kids safe in schools seem to be the theme of the 2022 Democratic Primary Election cycle.”

Ventura also received an endorsement from the Indo-American Democratic Organization (IADO) that supports candidates who are interested in working towards a more inclusive and representative government. The questionnaire sought answers based on tax policies, immigration polices, healthcare policies, vaccine policies, and support for small businesses. Ventura has been an advocate for a more inclusive and representative board in Will County. When given a chance to appoint two new members to the Will County Board she advanced the names of Cesar Escutia and Saud Gazanfer to represent the Latino and South East Asian populations in Will County.
