Thornton Township Republicans Announces Township Office Candidates for the Consolidated Election on April 1, 2025 (South Holland, IL) — The Thornton Township Republicans organization is pleased to announce its slate of candidates for Township offices for the Consolidated Election taking place on April 1, 2025. Candidates were nominated at the Republican Caucus on December 3, which was possibly the first Republican Caucus ever to take place in Thornton Township in its history.
Committeeman Tim DeYoung said, “We have a unique opportunity for a number of reasons; including the nationwide shift happening in the political landscape, the large number of disenfranchised voters in Thornton Township, and the current state of affairs in Thornton Township government.” He continued,
“And as Republicans, we are proud to have nominated the most diverse slate of candidates in Republican Party history in Thornton Township.”
Deputy Committeeman Jeffery Coleman added, “We stand together as a united slate with one vision. Our vision recognizes the change that the residents of Thornton Township badly want and need – and we are committed to delivering that change.”

For the office of Township Supervisor: Richard Nolan
Richard is certified in municipal law and governance, with many years of experience in municipal finance and administration. He is a member of the Ministers Conference of South Cook County, and has hosted events for former Illinois governors. He is a former Vice-President of School Board 133 in Riverdale, IL and a former Village Trustee in Riverdale, IL
For the office of Township Trustee: David Barnes
David is a father of five born and raised in Chicago and has resided on the south and west sides of the city. He is a Community Health Worker, Outreach Worker and Counselor. He also currently serves as a volunteer with Servants of Hope.
For the office of Township Trustee: Kesha Richardson
Kesha is a small business owner and has over 20 years of corporate finance and corporate trust experience. She also worked at NPCA in the non-profit sector; working with hundreds of community stakeholders to implement the award-winning vision, Positioning Pullman. She is currently a board member for the NuSole Wellness Organization.
For the office of Township Trustee: Jeffery Coleman
Jeffery is the current Deputy Republican Committeeman in Thornton Township, and the former Republican Committeeman of Calumet Township. He is the CEO of Barbershop News Network, President of Van Ventures and President of 3DMKT. He ran for State Representative in 2022.
For the office of Township Trustee: Carl V. Dombrowski
Carl has been a small business owner for 45 years and a top producing sales professional in the moving and storage industry. He coached Lansing Little League for 16 years, and served as Parent Board President for the Merit School of Music in Chicago.
For the office of Township Highway Commissioner: Tim DeYoung
Tim is the current Republican Committeeman in Thornton Township. He has been in technology management for over 25 years. He currently serves as a Planning & Development Commissioner in the Village of South Holland and on the School Board of Calvin Christian School in South Holland, IL.
