The White Sox avoid the series sweep against Brewers (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) – In the 3rd game of the series in Milwaukee, the White Sox were determined to not let the Brewers sweep the series.  The White Sox had Lance Lynn take the mound in the bottom of the 1st for an immediate 3 strikeouts.  In the top of the 2nd inning, White Sox batter Seby Zavala hit an RBI single to center field to cement the first run of the night.  Next batter up was Lance Lynn, who hit a 2-run single.  At the end of the 2nd inning, the Brewers trailed the White Sox 3-0.  In the top of the 3rd inning, the White Sox were caught in a double play by a grounder that White Sox batter Jose Abreu hit to Brewers second baseman Kolton Wong.

A Close Game to The End 

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Brewers batter Jackie Bradley crushed a ball to center field for an RBI double that narrowed the lead the White Sox had.  In the bottom of the 7th inning, White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech relieved Lynn at the mound after 98 pitches.  In the bottom of the 8th inning, Brewers batter Willy Adames was walked by Kopech.  Liam Hendriks took the mound in an attempt to close the 8th inning with minimal damage.  He closed the 8th inning with 2 strikeouts and a pop out.  In the bottom of the 9th, Hendriks still on the mound, closed the game on 2 strikeouts and a flyball.  The White Sox beat the Brewers 3-1 to avoid the series sweep by the Brewers.
