The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council endorse Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle in her re-election bid (Cook County, IL) — Today, the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council announced their support of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle in her 2022 re-election campaign.

“The Carpenters Union appreciates the long-time support President Preckwinkle has shown to working men and women, and we are proud to endorse her in her-re-election campaign,” said Gary Perinar, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council, which represents more than 52,000 union workers across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and eastern Iowa. “This country was built on the strength of hard-working union and men and women, and with continued support from elected leaders like President Preckwinkle, we can continue to prosper.”

The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council was formed in 2021 by the merger of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters with the St. Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council. The 52,000-plus members of the Mid-America Council makes it one of the largest regional councils in America.
