Rep. Haas Hosts Job Fair in Kankakee (Kankakee, IL) — To provide opportunities for job seekers in the 79th District, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) will be hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday, June 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Kankakee (187 S Indiana Ave.).

“I’m happy to bring back my annual job fair to connect job seekers and employers in the 79th District,” said Rep. Haas. “I invite all searching for a job or helping someone in their job search to join us at this event in June. I look forward to seeing everybody there!”

Participating employers include ABF Freight, Aflac, Agente Staffing, Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53, Citadel Healthcare, City of Kankakee, Gilman Healthcare Center, Illinois Café & Service Company, the Illinois Departments of Central Management Services, Children & Family Services, Corrections, Employment Security, Human Services, Innovation & Technology, and Revenue. From Kankakee County will be Kankakee Community College, Kankakee County Government, Kankakee County Training Center, Kankakee Police Department, and the Kankakee County Fire Chiefs Association.

Additionally, there will be the Illinois State Police, Illinois Tollway, Lyon, MABA 57, Milner Media Partners, New Star, Nexus Indian Oaks Family Healing, Nucor Steel, PACE, PACTIV Evergreen, Riverside Healthcare, Rosie Mae Home Care, Sherwin Williams, Silva International Inc., The Helen Wheeler Center for Community Mental Health, USPS, Urban Farmer, VanFab Corporation, Van Voorst Lumber, and more!

There will also be workshops called “I have an interview…now what?” at 9:30 a.m. and “How to write a resume to get noticed!” at 10:30 a.m. Constituents are encouraged to bring plenty of resumes and dress to impress. Admission and workshops are free at this event.
