Midlothian’s Chicago Wingz Around the World Reopens with Grand Celebration, Free Food (Midlothian, IL) — Beloved Midlothian restaurant Chicago Wingz Around the World celebrated their grand reopening yesterday with free wings and fries to all their visitors. They closed to the public earlier this year due to staffing issues and the undertaking of some large contracts that required daily catering. Owner Tavares Williams said he was excited to be able to reopen to the public.
“We are looking forward to serving our community fresh, home made, and delicious meals,” said Williams. “We had to make the tough decision earlier this year to close the doors because we had taken on some catering contracts that required us to deliver large amounts of food nearly every single day. It has been a learning experience and we now have the logistics figured out and down to a science. We are ready to serve the public once again.”
The Midlothian Chicago Wingz Around the World location will soon reveal an all-new menu serving family-style meals of chicken wings, fish, and shrimp with shareable options for sides, including macaroni and cheese, okra, greens, and more.
“We aim to help the busy family with a family-style dinner they can pick up and enjoy without too much hassle,” explained Williams. “With our catering experience, we know how to create amazing family meals for the modern-day working family.”
The Saturday celebration boasted free food for all guests. Patrons were blown away by the fresh food and huge selection of sauces available to sample. Their 35+ wing sauces are sure to have something to please every palate.
The Chicago Wingz Around the World grand reopening had visits from the Midlothian Police Department, Cook County Commissioner Monica Gordon, and several others from the surrounding communities. One Midlothian Police Officer commented, “I’m so happy they’re back! They always had an awesome reputation and we were sad to see them go. Now that they’re back, I’m sure my wife will be asking me to pick some up for dinner pretty often.”
Chicago Wingz Around the World is located at 4816 148th St. in Midlothian, near the Walgreens inside Mid Oak Plaza. They offer delivery, pickup, and catering services.
