Ken Griffin, Founder & CEO of Citadel Secures Naming Rights for the Atrium of the Project H.O.O.D. Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center on Chicago’s South Side With a $5m Donation (Chicago, IL) — The Project H.O.O.D. Capital Campaign has received a personal gift of $5 million from Founder and CEO of Citadel, Kenneth C. Griffin. With this gift, Griffin has not only secured naming rights for the Atrium of the Project H.O.O.D. Leadership & Economic Opportunity Center but helped to bring attention to violence that continues to plague Chicago.

This is the largest single gift that Project H.O.O.D. has received since its Founder and CEO, Pastor Corey Brooks began his historic Rooftop Campaign on November 20, 2021.  This brings the grand total raised to $18 Million dollars. The goal is to raise $35 Million dollars to build a state-of-the-art Leadership & Economic Opportunity Center on what is known as one of the most violent areas in Chicago.

Other major donors include Related Midwest $2 Million, Wintrust Bank $1.5 Million, and Ozinga Concrete who has agreed to donate all the concrete necessary to complete the 89,000 sqft facility.
