Joliet Police Make Three Arrests (Joliet, IL) – Today, Joliet police announced three arrests via a press release posted on their Facebook page. The following individuals were arrested and transported to the Joliet Police Department:
Arrestees
- George Walker (28, Woodridge) was arrested, booked, and transported to the Will County Jail for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and an active Cook County arrest warrant.
- Terrance Mann (35, Bolingbrook) was arrested, booked, and transported to the Will County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- Jason Jackson (40, Joliet) was arrested, booked, and transported to the Will County Jail for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.
Narrative
On January 4, 2020 [sic] at approximately 8:51PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of North Bluff Street and Western Avenue after observing a traffic violation. Officers identified the driver as Jackson with Walker and Mann as passengers in the vehicle. It was determined that Walker held an active arrest warrant out of Cook County. While George was exiting the vehicle to be placed into custody for the warrant, Officers observed a handgun in plain view near the driver’s seat. Walker was placed into custody without incident. Officers also observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Mann and Jackson exited the vehicle and were detained. Officers recovered the handgun that was in plain view. A further search of the vehicle revealed three additional handguns within the vehicle. Mann and Jackson were taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered Ecstasy pills after a search of Mann.
Officers transported the three arrestees to the Joliet Police Department. Further investigation determined that Walker and Jackson were responsible for the firearms located within the vehicle. All three arrestees were then transported to the Will County Jail.
