Dixmoor Police Release Statement Following Maddie’s Shooting (Dixmoor, IL) — Dixmoor Police Chief Lionel Smith is issuing the following statement on a shooting incident early Saturday morning at Maddies in Dixmoor.

“At 3:17 am on November 25th, police officers heard gun shots at Maddies bar in Dixmoor. Officers arrived at the scene and witnessed several individuals fleeing from the establishment.

Upon entering the building, officers found three gunshot victims. The first victim is a black female who was shot in the right shoulder. Her family transported her to UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey. The second victim is a black man who had gun shot wounds to the neck. He was transported to UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.  The third victim is a black male who was shot in the chest and was transported to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn.

All three victims are stable.

The suspect appears to be a black male. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”
