CTA to Host Diversity Programs Certification Drive for Small Business Leaders for Historic CTA Projects Such as the Red Line Extension (Chicago, IL) – The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will host a workshop on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Red Line Extension Community Office in South Chicago to help small businesses get the necessary certification as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to bid on CTA projects. This event provides a unique opportunity for leaders of small and minority/women-owned businesses who are interested in participating in CTA contracts, such as the ongoing Red Line Extension project.

Representatives from the CTA’s Diversity Programs Department will be available to discuss the certification process and answer questions. Participants can apply directly for certification with the CTA at the event, which will feature a scheduled presentation, providing attendees with valuable information on how to become a certified DBE and the benefits of certification. Small businesses interested in working with the CTA are strongly encouraged to attend.
