Bulls lose second game against the 76ers (Chicago, Illinois) – After Wednesdays very close game against the 76ers, the Chicago Bulls tried to come out aggressively with a steal and pass to Javonte Green, who drove up the court to bounce it against the glass to Lonzo Ball, who finished the play with a slam dunk. The Bulls’ aggression stayed consistent and kept them in the game until the 2nd quarter. Bulls closely trailed the 76ers 22-21, but in the 2nd quarter, the 76ers managed to pull ahead, making 3 out of the 5 shots taken outside the arc, while the Bulls only made 1 out of 5. In the 2nd quarter, after a steal by the Bulls, Lonzo Ball drove up the court to stop to perform a pump fake that had 76er Joel Embiid jumping at the rim so Ball could step back and make a great shot. The Bulls, however, were unable to connect enough 3’s and the 76ers took a lead by scoring 35 points against the Bulls 26. By the half, the Bulls trailed the 76ers 10 points with the score at 57-47.

At the Half

The Bulls tried to bring the competition back into the game in the 3rd quarter by shooting 10 3-pointers in hopes to decrease the point deficit, but were only able to make 3 out of the 10. The game played inside the arc, however, was very competitive. A jump shot by DeMar DeRozan was bouncing off the back of the rim when Derrick Jones Jr. jumped up and slammed it in off the bounce. The Bulls managed to make some points back in the 3rd quarter by scoring 30 points against Philadelphia’s 27. Going into the 4th and final quarter, the Bulls were a little behind the 76ers with the 76ers leading 84-77. In the 4th quarter, the Bulls continued to struggle outside the arc, only making 2 out of 9 shots, while the 76ers hit 6 out of 7 three-pointers. The Bulls were only able to secure 28 points to the 76ers 30 points that quarter. The 76ers beat the Bulls 114-105.

Tonight’s game leaders were Zach LaVine with 32 points, along with Lonzo Ball handing out 5 assists. On the defensive side, Nikola Vucevic was able to snag 11 rebounds. Javonte Green was an aggressive player tonight with getting 2 steals while Derrick Jones Jr. was able to get 1 block. The Bulls made 40.2% of their collective shots along with making 24.1% of every 3-point shot.
