Robbins Mayoral Candidate Andrea Roberson Attempts to Pass Illegal Vote Extending Her Term as Park District Commissioner (Robbins, IL) – Andrea Roberson is the current President of the Robbins Park District Board of Commissioners. Her term as a park district commissioner is coming to an end and she must run for re-election to stay on the Robbins Park District Board. However, Andrea Roberson doesn’t plan to run for re-election for Park District Board. She wants to be the Mayor of Robbins.

“These shenanigans at the Robbins Park District have been going on for years. They blocked two trustees that the tax payers voted in for well over a year from taking their seats. Now they are just merely trying to pass a vote to extend their terms without the voters having an opportunity to vote for them. The tax payers are really being hurt by this,” stated a Village of Robbins senior tax payer who wishes to remain anonymous.

The Cook County Clerk certified Ms. Roberson’s election as a four year term. That four years is now up. With Ms. Roberson’s plan to run for Mayor of the Village of Robbins, her Park District seat is now in jeopardy. Ostensibly, she plans to have the board merely vote to extend her term defying the certification of the County Clerk while also defying the voters right to vote her in for another Park District term.

Who is Kendall Parrot?

“The taxpayers have a right to vote for their leaders. They can’t just vote for themselves. She just knows she can’t run for Mayor and Park District at the same time. I don’t know why she’s running for Mayor anyway. She’s not even qualified to be Mayor. This whole mess reeks of Kendall Parrot. Somebody need to look into his background. He’s a very shady character,” mentioned the anonymous Village of Robbins senior tax payer.

Kendall Parrot is the current Executive Director of the Robbins Park District. According to sources, Mr. Kendall Parrot has a long storied history of working at Park Districts throughout the Southland.

The Robbins Park District met last Wednesday September 11th at 5pm. The Southland Journal was in attendance. The meeting failed to reach a quorum and was immediately closed. There is a special meeting tonight, September 16th at 6pm at the Park District headquarters on Claire Blvd. The Robbins Park District doesn’t have the current agenda for tonight’s meeting on their public website. This appears to be intentional as other information has been regularly updated except for agendas and meeting minutes.
