Arrest Made in Child Pornography Case (Orland Park, IL) — In April 2022, Orland Park Police Department Investigators received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children, regarding possible possession of child pornography. The Orland Park Police Department investigated the CyberTip because it originally appeared the images were downloaded from a residence in Orland Park and the Orland Park Police Department has investigators assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. During the course of the investigation, investigators identified Bishop Lopez, a Palos Heights resident, as a suspect in this case.

On 06/07/22, Orland Park Investigators made consensual contact with Lopez at his residence. While on scene, investigators located evidence of child pornography and took Lopez into custody. Investigators obtained search warrants for other electronic devices belonging to Lopez and recovered numerous videos and images of child pornography.
Lopez was charged with Possession of Child Pornography, involving children depicted under 13 years of age (Class 2 Felony).

On 06/09/22, Lopez was transported to Bridgeview Courthouse where the Honorable Judge Havis set the bond at $250,000D.
